Built by Victor Bredt in 1907, the Bredt Hotel soon began offering lodging and meals to country customers for a mere 25 cents. In 1914, he sold the hotel to the Wallace family whose roots can be traced back to a plantation in Virginia. Soon, the business prospered in the small, but bustling, town of Marble Falls.
